Episode 134:

Mastering consistency to build healthy habits that stick

Do you struggle to stay consistent with your health goals? Maybe the problem isn’t you—it’s the approach!

“We aren't approaching this from a lens of you have to be good and not be bad, and you must try and do all of this 100 % of the time. It's not all or nothing, and it's not about perfectionism.”

— Nicola Farndell

“The goal isn’t perfection, it’s progress you can actually stick with. If your habits aren’t intentional, your results won’t be either.”

— Lisa Franz

In this episode of Women’s Health Unwrapped:

Today we’re diving into something that so many women struggle with but rarely talk about properly—staying consistent with health habits. I'm joined by Lisa Franz, head coach at Nutrition Coaching and Life, and together we’re unpacking why consistency feels so hard, and how to actually make it work for you without the guilt, the burnout, or the need to be perfect.

We’re getting real about the all-or-nothing mindset that holds so many women back. If you’ve ever felt like you’re doing really well during the week but everything unravels at the weekend, this conversation is going to feel like a breath of fresh air.

Lisa and I share why aggressive, restrictive approaches almost always lead to failure (and frustration), and how a gentler, more mindful way of living can help you stick with the habits that support you—not exhaust you.

If you’ve been stuck in the cycle of starting over every Monday or feeling like you’re failing because you can’t be "perfect"—this episode is absolutely for you.

The key highlights from our conversation are:

  • Why consistency is the real key to sustainable health—not perfection.

  • How setting realistic goals keeps motivation alive (and helps you avoid burnout).

  • Why aggressive approaches to diet and fitness almost always lead to failure.

  • How environment and community massively impact your ability to stay consistent.

  • The role your mindset plays in building habits you actually want to keep.

  • Why moderation beats restriction every time when it comes to nutrition.

  • How focusing on long-term goals creates lasting change (and more joy!).

  • How being intentional with your choices helps eliminate feelings of guilt.

  • The truth: It’s never too late to start making positive changes for your health.
