LIVE HEALTHY NOW - Episode 4

Eating your emotions?

Watch.

This episode is for you if you manage your emotions using food or drink and wonder why you can’t seem to get in control of your eating habits. Todays guest, Ashley Carlotta, helps women to dive into their eating behaviours and uncover the stories they’re holding onto about the role food plays in their lives. She advocates a balanced way of eating and helps you take back control to better manage your weight and relationship with food.

Nicola Mercer, founder of Life Now Coaching and the host of the Live Healthy Now podcast

“Food plays such a huge part in our life, in our society. And so we choose food when we need comfort or when we want reward.”

— Nicola Mercer

“It's important to find something that you can continue to do when these different seasons of life get busy.”

— Ashley Carlotta

Have you ever struggled to control what you eat and drink?

Does it get to Friday evening and you find yourself automatically ordering in the pizza because you feel like it’s the least you deserve after a hectic week at work?

How about when you’re stressed, and you tell yourself eating the family size bar of chocolate all on your own is absolutely fine because it’s going to make you feel so much better?

In this episode you’ll learn:

  • What emotional eating is.

  • Why so many people have strong emotional attachments with food.

  • Taking the first step to changing your relationship with food so you can control your emotional eating.

  • How to ditch the diet culture and no longer deprive yourself of the things you enjoy in your life.

  • Why the key to being healthy is about creating a balance that can become a lifestyle for your whole family.

  • Using accountability methods to build lasting habits.

  • The impact our eating behaviours have on children and how to be more aware to better navigate your kids relationship with food.
