“There’s this thing about sitting in front of a doctor and talking about women’s troubles. There’s still this approach to periods, having your monthly bleed, having painful periods, that feels embarrassing doesn’t it? Our menstrual cycle is such a huge part of life as a female and it’s something that’s still carrying a lot of stigma and taboo.”

— Nicola Mercer

“What we want to be doing is going into that fight v flight sympathetic branch, but then be able to naturally come back down to the parasympathetic, that rest and digest state. But the life that we lead doesn’t give us time to rest or come back to that parasympathetic branch.”

— Emily Cook

Emily Cook wants to help normalise talking about your periods and problems that so many females encounter with their menstrual cycle and reproductive system throughout the different seasons of their life.

  • The challenges faced when seeking medical support for your menstrual cycle and having the right knowledge about what you’re feeling to help take the right course of action.

  • Understanding your body and mind and listening to what it is you need.

  • The power of focusing on the foundations of good, strong health.
