“Kids today, that younger generation, potentially have five years less on their lifespan than we’ll have because of how sedentary their lives are. That’s something we really, really have to take responsibility for as adults in our generation, because I certainly feel heartbroken at the though that my daughter might have a much shorter lifespan because of the way her generation are being brought up and the cultural changes that are happening.”

— Nicola Mercer

This is exactly what I’m getting into on today's special episode which is taken from Dr Kim Foster’s podcast - The Wellness Project. I am one of the coaches on Dr Kim’s team - working with her inside the Wellness Coach Academy, supporting all our students and new coaches as they're building their businesses - and before joining her team, I was actually a student inside this programme where I certified as a coach. But before that, I was a corporate girl, working for Nike for 20 years. I learned a lot when I worked at Nike about the power of taking care of both your body and mind, and also why, as adults, we have a responsibility to normalise healthy living for the younger generation. Listen in as I chat with Dr Kim about how I’ve embodied what I learned at Nike to form my vision here at Life Now Coaching.

In this episode on Kim’s podcast I talk about

  • My transition from corporate to entrepreneurship and coaching.

  • The difference between strategy and tactics when setting up a new business.

  • Being the CEO of your life.

  • What normalising healthy living means and why this is essential to protect the health of younger generations.

  • How valuable taking care of yourself is.

  • Why women’s health is critical to be better understood and valued.

  • What I believe wellness is.

  • My most powerful wellness tools in my toolkit.

  • Why we need more iconic female role models for girls.

  • The influence women can have on their children living a healthy lives.
